Walking through the forest I saw moss on the trees (see white arrow). I wondered how it would look if trees would wear colourfull knitted socks instead of these moss socks.

A project I did during my secondary school. Recycled cardboard tubes with a perspex tabletop.

An unexpected place for storage: a bag for your plug in order to put away little things like cards, scarves and other lightweight items.

Beautiful and unique handmade light with patchwork parts.

The basic colour is off-white, the patchwork part is blue with off-white, the detailling on the inside is black. The material is PVC, height 31 cm, width and depth are both 13 cm.

Neffa participated in a 2-day workshop with Kate Goldsworthy. In the Textile Museum in Tilburg we got an introduction to upcycling techniques for recycled synthetic textiles using the Graphixscan laser. We learned about the different settings and effects one can achieve on all kinds of fabrics and experimented with varied methods including transer printing, laminating, bonding, marquetry and surface etching for pattern creation. Below are some of the results.

For Globalicious Neffa made a wallcovering of gerecycled tarp. The logo is cut-out in a raindrop print. The backside is printed with mini-logo’s. This will give a nice effect when putting a light behind; or like here hanging in an open space.

In general people do not experiment a lot with decorating their stairs. Neffa wonders why and has an unusual solution: a collection of numberplates.

In times of crisis we go back to our base. Therefore an old-fashioned game in a new outfit. Neffa wonders: why are there few games who are resilient? And why do we have to be carefull with beverages just because paper or cartboard will get wet? The solution: a checkerboard made of tarp. The board has tent pegs for adjustment to the ground, so it won’t blow away. Easy use at for example campingsites or in the park. Next to that, the it can be rolled. Take away and play!

Why do containers always have a solid colour and are mainly in red, blue or yellow? Why not nicely printed to enlarge their recognizability? Neffa has her own ideas about this:

Neffa designs artworks and is continually searching for new ways to apply them. The objective is to give impersonal objects a personal character by using remarkable colours and prints. Creative ideas, other perspectives, unexpected objects: Neffa draws its inspiration from everywhere and uses it to make beautiful things. Beautiful things that are just that bit different. Because plain is plainly not good enough.

With some screws and circular plates (nuts) you can make a nice magazine holder of that beautifull picture from that magazine.

In connection with recycling: funny plant trays and lovely decoration made of cans. Cut with plate shears you can make nice decoration or waxine light holders.

Why do we throw away beer caps? There are so many nice and different designs, what a waste to lose them. Neffa collected many and made new patterns; creating allowers of different artworks. Preserved with a thick resin layer they make funky new table plates.
